From a letter to Kapilnath of 14 June 1988

Letter to Shri Kapilnath of 14 June 1988 Glad the Pillers of Idaho visited. I saw their concept of Hinduism was typical Western book stuff. I may have been a little heavy in my letter, but they need a shake up and I hope they profit by contact with Kailash Z[onule].

The most lamentable thing about London Mike is that his personal respect and love for me is unquestionable, but ego and inexperience have led to many strange blunders. Most important to me is the fact that he has been teaching about the Nath Order but never applied the guidelines to his own life and [omitted]. Absence of “THINK” has placed him back in the rat race. The basics are known to a few people and something new may develop in time.

The odd quirk is that he worked hard for two years to get his two Sanskrit translations published, but nothing of the Nath Order has been even Xeroxed for three years. I just don’t worry either way. He is so involved with domestic life and long hours of work that he is powerlesss to do much even if he wants to. People in UK think he has “dropped out” entirely but still wants to retain the titles of leader and Grand Master of AMOOKOS. This might be so, but other forces may arise to change the situation. The firm for which he works has promoted him to editor which will involve him in more time and work. Let it be, son, let it be.

Your fantastic fantasmagoria festival of fun really hit the top dimension in occult opera scenarios and I applaud your success and compilation construction. Joe’s visit to UK may draw the curtain so long as he does not listen to vague talk as only activity is real and I am interested how much he sees, not of talk but real activity. I think U.K. needs a new start, and new people. But I think UK is not fertile ground. Too conservative and fixed ideas.

I acknowledge the compliment of the Natha liking the Initiation Rite in my original scrawl, but I hoped for it to be passed on to other groups in U.S.A. and other actives in Europe when you write or send something to them and they can have the correct text copied to give to new members…
